As a local, community bank, we are involved in supporting the area in more ways than most people know. That’s why we jumped at the chance to be involved in the Wisconsin Bankers Association’s (WBA) 7th Annual Power of Community Week.
Running from April 15th through the 20th, we celebrated our commitment to the community we serve by having a donation drive for our friends at Happily Ever After, no-kill animal shelter in Green Bay. Our staff and clients stepped up to the challenge and donated generous pet supplies.
The WBA’s state-wide, week-long campaign has been the perfect opportunity to show the tangible ways in which our industry empowers the communities it serves—through the giving of time, funds, supplies and support.
For us at American National Bank, it was such a natural fit. Supporting the community is built into our very foundations—beginning with our founding CEO, John Hennessey, who offered to store the local Pop Warner League’s football equipment at the bank, simply because there was a need.
For 30+ years, our leaders have encouraged all our associates to be active community members—by leading and participating in programs, events and nonprofits that improve the health of our neighborhoods. They’ve led by example and set a wonderful standard that we plan to continue for many years to come.
We’re grateful for the experiences we’ve gained personally and professionally while giving back and believe that our growth and success has been, in part, a direct result of our involvement. Thank you to our community for being an integral part of our success.
